Description: After teacher modeling and discussion of choosing the best main idea with supporting details for a video news article, students will choose one news story at their reading level to read and write a main idea with supporting details (using the box and bullet format). Students will use electronic devices to read the article, record their main ideas and details with boxes and bullets digitally. Students will view other students main ideas & details and provide feedback on how the technology used was for the task, as well as self-assess their own progress in summarizing the main idea.
