Topic: What if they had social media during the Texas Revolution?
Description: Students will create a Twitter timeline for an individual important in the Texas revolution. Students will use the provided Google Slides template to create a twitter profile (with appropriate picture) and then complete the twitter timeline for their historical figure. The significant contributions of the chosen character should be highlighted in the timeline. The timeline should also include responses from other historical figures to the main character’s posts.
Social Studies TEK: 4.3b
Technology TEK: (3) Research and information fluency. The student acquires and evaluates digital content. The student is expected to: (A) use search strategies to access information to guide inquiry; (B) use research skills to build a knowledge base regarding a topic, task, or assignment; and (C) evaluate the usefulness of acquired digital content.
