Description: Students use logic to put together a jumbled story in correct sequence.
15A. Writing/Literary Texts. Students write literary texts to express their ideas and feelings about real or imagined people, events, and ideas. Students are expected to:
(A) write imaginative stories that include:
(i) a clearly defined focus, plot, and point of view
(ii) a specific, believable setting created through the use of sensory details
(iii) dialogue that develops the story
(4) Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. The student makes informed decisions by applying critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. The student is expected to:
(B) plan and manage activities to develop a solution, design a computer program, or complete a project;
Students will create an original story, either written or typed. If typed, print it out. Cut the sentences of the story separately. For a more advanced activity, students could cut the sentences in half. Students trade stories and the recipient has to put together the jumbled story in the correct sequence.
