Description:  In addition to going outside to record changes in the weather and make predictions, invite students to use apps like Weatherbug or websites like weather.com to collect and analyze data. Apps and sites like these allow students to access data, maps, photos, and sometimes even live videos from anywhere around the world!

Science TEKS:  4.8A Measure and record changes in weather and make predictions using weather maps, weather symbols, and a map key; 4.8C Collect and analyze data to identify sequences and predict patterns of change in shadows, tides, seasons, and the observable appearance of the Moon over time.

Technology TEKS:  (4) Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. (B) collect, analyze, and represent data to solve problems using tools such as word processing, databases, spreadsheets, graphic organizers, charts, multimedia, simulations, models, and programming languages.
